AAH Spiders!

Hello, Hello (Traditional)
Wiggle Your La-De-Dah (Ralph's World)
When I'm Feeling Up (Rick Hubbard)

Aaaarrgghh! Spider--Monks
I gave each child a plastic spider and a clear cup and we said AAH! Spider! together.
Then, caught the spider in our cups and dropped it outside (on the floor).

Spider on the Floor (with our hands)

Puppets:
If You Could Get Any Pet that You Want Chant
     (with dog, monkey, fish puppet)
"The Goldfish"  (Laurie Berkner)

Ribbons:
"Itsy Bitsy Spider" (Music Makers)
"Hold Still" (Yo Gabba Gabba)

Hop. Hop. Stop. [sit]

The Stretching Song (Juice Music)
This Little Light of Mine (Elizabeth Mitchell)

The More We Get Together

Today's group was very large and boisterous; a perfect example of deviating from my story time plan.
I'd planned to read Trapani's Itsy Bitsy Spider, sing our alphabet song, pretend with Henry the Dog, and use the parachute--but the group just didn't allow for it. It was still a blast, though!
